Road Hump Records...

As said in another post, I tried to create a road hump record using my basic andriod phone which just costed me 6.7k. I just mentioned cost to tell how valuable a phone can be, if it can be used constructively. 

The road humps are plotted in google maps, real time.. Also data can be saved in internet.

Well, many of you may feel, this is a political/controvesial thingi. But I wanted specifically to analyze from an ordinary "Praja's"(Mr.Common Man) view.

Women commuters are the silent sufferers of certain harassments being meted out to them during their journeys in BMTC buses. With uncontrolled influx of people into Namma Bengaluru,  more and more people are using the BMTC buses.  One can find young women rushing to board buses, however crowded they may be, with the sole intention of reaching their destinations.

Maaru - Mola - Still the length measuring standard used

In Markets of Bangalore or else where in Karnataka, for measuring the length of flowers, people still use age old 'Maaru', a full length of the arm, or 'Mola', half length of arm and do lot of cheating. None uses a metre scale and measure the same.

BMTC plays a major role in providing the only PT option for Bangalore. However even with busses there is a section of the society which swears by the direction based routing as a solution for better and faster PT within the city, instead of the destination based one which is what we have predominantly now.

Wonder what happened to TTMCs

Hi, I was wondering what happened to TTMC's or Bus stations. I stay near K R Puram. I feel there should be a Bus Stand or TTMC in KR Puram so that it can be well connected to various parts of city. For e.g If they introduce a BMTC bus from K R Puram to Whitefield via Bhattarahalli or via Budigere Cross. Half the people would prefer this since this less crowded.

Recently I was searching how we can help ourselves to understand and try to beat the traffic problems. I have found interesting Andriod Apps. While I neither working for these companies nor I want to promote these one, I think it is worthy for Prajagalu to have look at these apps.
