Holding that the power of the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) is restricted to protecting public property and detecting unauthorized construction/encroachment on such land, the Karnataka high court on Thursday quashed the chargesheets and FIRs filed by BMTF against BBMP engineers for not stopping illegal construction on private properties.

Who had thought that one day 'Bus Day' observance will go places. Though in Bangalore it has relegated to a monthly ritual, since Feb 2010, it has been tried in many cities including Chennai, Cochin etc.

Debris created after ganesha festival

I was passing by last week by yedyur lake after the ganesha festival and the imerge of the idols.

the debris that had created was huge.

a few years ago , only few were keeping the idols in the public,

today it has bcome competetion sort to keep bigger than each other locality,  area, and each other street and so on.

Today morning I had suprise visitors to my home from Bescom. Two men in a scooter, one person ready to remove the electric fuse at home. They came and suddenly asked for the receipt of last month's electricity bill. I had kept it somewhere and had to search all over home.

Amidst all the press that BMTC is getting recently, one thing that caught attention was talk of mini buses, shuttles and feeder routes. As we all know, feeder plans, and solid execution of first/last mile connects can help increase usage of BMTC as well as (future) metro.
