Noticeably less activity on Praja related to Namma Metro

I began visiting and participating on Praja in 2008 when I was deputed outside the city on work, i knew i would get a clear view into our city through this website, I gradually increased my visits here and also participated in many discussions.

During my recent visit to Bengaluru in Sep, 2011, I had the occasion to do a 'Train Trip' to Hosur along with other memebrs of Praja's Namma Railu Team. Along that trip had the chance to observe the various stations on route to Hosur from Hebbal Station. Here is the picture of Hebbal station.

BMTC Buses - volvo vs marcopolo

Hi, I catch 201 bus regularly. There are three buses available, one is 201R (normal bmtc bus) with fare around Rs.12, other one 201R(volvo) with fare Rs.30. I was told that since volvo has A.C. facility and other better facilities, it costs almost double. I dont need an AC bus for a short journey.

Yeshwantpur Hatia Express Should be made a daily train

HTE YPR EXPRESS(12835/12836) shld be made a daily train, considering the rush in the train. This is a bi-weekly train and runs twice a week. This is the only train which runs from Bangalore to Ranchi, which is the capital of Jharkhand. There are lot of ppl from Ranchi, Rourkela and sorrounding areas who generally commute by this train.

Bangalore is No 2 in the world (ahem...for the wrong reasons)

Weekday Train Trip to Hosur by YH1 - Sept 21, 2011

Namma Railu Team would be taking another trip to HOSUR by YH1train. This is an exercise to gauge the crowd/demand during the weekday/working day. We will go upto Hosur and return by the same train.
