I am not sure if this is my confusion or problem with KSRTC but let me explain what happened to me recently.

Using alternate routes

 Having used BMTC for almost a decade, learnt many interesting experiences. To reach a place we generally prefer to travel by the shorter route and if possible direct bus. But shorter route/direct route  may not always be the faster route,and if involves changing buses might be expensive too.

I am still pondering in the point of no crakers for diwali.

I have lived all these years every diwali enjoying crakers and festive mood with sweets during diwali.

for the past 4 years after reading a lot about global warming , i had decided we should not burst crakers.

A group of students have been working on a street tree census in Bangalore. This team has now completed a count of all the street trees in one particular ward and put up the details online - here.

Double Decker Buses in Bangalore

When I went to school in the late 80’s and early 90’s, we enjoyed taking the double Decker bus number 134 to Ulsoor from Shivajinagar. I know there were other routes like 131 and 150. BTS became BMTC and soon the double Decker buses became history and faded away from the roads and our memory.
