KR Puram bus bhelter is getting ready

I would like to share a Good News. THe BMTC Bus Shelter is getting ready & feel in the next 1 week it should be ready. Thanks a lot to the BMTC authorities it comes as a boom for public in this blazing summer season. Also would like to thank the Praja team in this inititave to help the public of Bangalore lead a little comfortable life.

Taking Mobilicity Forward

Writing in a request to Mobilicity project members to take the concept forward via series of small events, or otherwise. To some extent Bus Day itself came out of Mobilicity efforts, the concept was seeded during Mobilicity meetings.

Commuter Rail - attention local news journalists

Now that we have a window opening for Commuter Rail Services, we need to spread solid awareness about the possibilities and issues. Towards that, members of this Praja project are making an appeal to media personnel. Please carry informative and detailed reports on possiblities, plans and success factors for commuter rail services for Bengaluru. We are promising all help - we will spend time with you to write them, or if you are okay, even write the details for you.

Please contact any one of (vinod_shankar, Sanjeev, Raghu Nandana M, Naveen, silkboard) us, and we will sit with you to write the detailed and informative stories.

Our support will be on first come first served basis, and we look forward to support from one or more wide circulation newspapers of Karnataka.

Support this project, and help Bengaluru take a big step towards solving its huge problem of transportation and internal connectivity.

What will make Bus Day a better success?

We all are looking for answer to one question. How can BMTC make the Bus Day a better success? The success being large numbers taking the bus on Bus day? Praja survey and poll has already given the answers to this question. One important factor that is eluding the Bus Day is, TRUST from citizens of Namma Bengaluru.

The Bus Day is an interesting event that presents wonderful opportunity for communities like PRAJA to grab and show case their concern and willingness to take 2 steps forward.

March 4 Bus Day - New shuttles - Bagmane, Indiranagar, Domlur, Koramangala

BMTC is announcing new local shuttle routes for March 4 Bus Day. Instead of smaller multiple local feeder loops, we have a largish loop covering Indiranagar, Domlur and Koramangala. Frequency promised is 10 minutes, so that will help.

BTRAC, it is 2010 - report card for Traffic?

BTRAC-2010, does the phrase ring a bell? It is a Rs 350 crore (max) worth project funded 2006 through 2010 to reduce congestion and better manage traffic in the city.

Compound wall crack due to neighbour' s borewell digging - issued resolved

Crack in the compound wall issue seems to be resolved, temporarily.

Other RTI + Lok Ayuktha files, will have be be followed up in due course.

Another huge grey area seems to be that very few citizens are aware of permissions that are / are not needed before a borewell can be sunk. The 'consultant's digging the borewell of course make all the rules up...!
