The widening of Seshadri rd, Race Course rd & Palace rd together with the flyover at Anand Rao circle, the already wide District office rd & underpasses at KR circle & Maharani's college has one benefit - possibility for improvement of bus services for savings in bus travel times for commuters.

Buses for people or vegetables?

Buses have so far been made of chassis meant to transport potaoes and veggies. So we have been witness to one of the biggest mass deceptions of all time. And now only those who can afford to pay for premuim, disaggregated services can get the benefit of these low-floor a/c buses which are in India the few bus designs meant for the use of people.

It grew out of an idea from Pradip, a public transport enthusiast. He suggested that we stand at Kundalahalli junction one weekday morning and hand out roses and BMTC route maps to all the car commuters. The thought has grown into a "Big10/Volvo to work day" for Whitefield.

Buses to Nagarbhavi after 9 PM (atleast till 10 PM)

After 9 PM there are only few buses running from vijayanagar to nagarabhavi circle (very rarely, that too you have to wait for 20 to 40 minutes to get buses). And these buses will be very rush. Ladies & aged people cannot get into these buses. During this time many private taxi/cabs will run in this route.

Big10 on Old Madras Road?

[additionally - where does the service terminate? what is the frequency? where does it connect with Hop on Hop off?]

During the Big10 meeting with Prof. Ashwin Mahesh, it was suggested that Praja-galu can suggest feeder bus services, which the professor could take up with BMTC.

Using Vayu Vajra (BIAS) buses for non-airport commute.

Last week a friend of mine told me that he was using the BIAS buses to commute from Hebbal to Kormangala, I was delighted to know that the BMTC has finally realized the potential and are allowing non-airport bound passengers to use the vayu vajra buses.
