Trademark Bengaluru Road

Spotted a video on Flickr uploaded by some visitor probably on his way to the airport. I don’t recognize the road in the video (not because I have been out of Bangalore for some time now), because all the roads and more importantly the road conditions are strikingly similar nowadays.

Quick observations:

Work on road to BIA from Nov DH News Service, Bangalore Work on the much awaited six-lane elevated road between Hebbal and Yelahanka bypass to facilitate smooth traffic to and from the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) will start from November this year.

The 7 th of August 2008 , Near Benniganahalli Railway Bridge , K R Puram ,Bangalore - 36 Regarding the issue of Widening the road , Mr .N.S.Nandeesh Reddy , MLA ,K R Puram Constituency met with the public ,as they were protesting for the widening of road .

Mr .N.S.Nandeesh Reddy himself participated in the protest and called the NATIONAL HIGHWAY DEV AUTHORITY people and told that they will call a Tender for widening this road within this 25 th of August 2008 .

As he insisted the people regarding the issue , the public gathered took back the protest.

Should BMIC be transparent and make their plans public?

Victoria road ready

Vicotria road which was under the works since the last few months is ready since the start of this week..This road connects the HAL apt road to richmond road and this has among other establishments, ravindu toyota and army school.

One thing after airport was shifted is that the richmond road near shoolay/vellara jn is pretty less crowded..but bus traffic trying to sqeeze thru the narrow passage to reach richmond circle clogs the other end of the road!

Alternate roads to Bengaluru International Airport

Am reviving an old thread started by kbsyed61 http://praja.in/content/d... - The reason is simple, Now that the Airport has commenced commercial operation There might be some new one-ways / re routes that we might have been forced into. Praja members who also know of some other "long" short-cuts to the already announced BCP's suggestions welcome to share routes here, Its always good to know by-pass routes in the event of blockage on main routes..

In today's Devana Yelli? seminar organised by Bangalore Mirror, the general consensus in terms of connectivity to Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) was getting TO Hebbal flyover, once beyond it, things are rather smooth.

Roads around major Lakes (Belandur, Madiwala)

As traffic and congestion growing day by day in Bangalore city, it's high time to think of Alternate roads around major Lakes in the city. Especially in South Bangalore lakes like Belandur, Madiwala which can reduce congestion and help traffic diverted on the alternate routes.
