Already costs have been estimated for Ph-2 based on 2010 prices, even considering 5% escalaltion, revised cost should be calculated by BMRCL before starting actual work.

Namma Metro Phase II to be Realigned at 2 Stations K R Puram
A section of Namma Metro Phase-II will be realigned due to land acquisition issues and the presence of a railway line in the vicinity. The changes will be effected at two stations that figure in the Byappanahalli-Whitefield elevated corridor, which is an extension of Reach-I from MG Road to Byappanahalli.
According to the new proposal, Narayanapura metro station will be knocked off the network and Krishnarajapuram metro station will be shifted by 295 metres. These stations figure in the 15.5-km line from Byappanahalli to Whitefield.
“The plan changes were okayed during a high-powered committee meeting with the chief secretary at Vidhana Soudha,” said a highly-placed source.
“It is very difficult to acquire land in that area. Moreover, the K R Puram railway line runs on one side of the proposed Reach-I extension. It will not be possible to link the entry on this side of the line with other Metro-related infrastructure on the other side by building stairs. Hence, we have decided to remove Narayanapura from our network and slightly shift the K R Puram Metro station to the left,” the source said.
The deadline for acquiring land for Phase-II has been fixed as April 2016.
Phase II Details
Phase II (72.1-km long) is an extension of all the reaches of Phase-I, in addition to two new lines.
It is slated to cost Rs 26,800 crore and is expected to be completed by 2020.
This involves extending the East-West lines of Mysuru Road to Kengeri and Byappanahalli to Whitefield and the two North-South lines from Puttenahalli to Anjanapura and Hessaraghatta Cross to Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre. The two new lines would be from R V Road to Bommasandra (East-West) and from Gottigere to Nagawara (North-South).
This particular extension of Phase II, the longest of all the four extensions, is awaited eagerly as it is slated to provide relief to employees in the IT corridors of Whitefield and Electronics City. The service from Byappanahalli will pass through Jyotipura, Krishnarajapuram, Mahadevapura, Garudacharpalya, Doddenakkundi Industrial Estate, Visveswaraya Industrial Estate, Kundalahalli, Vaidehi Hospital, Satya Sai Hospital, ITPL, Kadugodi Industrial Area and Ujwala Vidyalaya before terminating at Whitefield.

If this is the progess of METRO, Expert team who prepared DPR for Ph-2, they did not sea this and how did the GOK and BMRC board approved it in first place ???
Or is it some individual loosing land so change the station.
In whole thing, BMRC and DPR Constultant have messed it by not considering how to integrate KR Puram Railway Station, BMTC and METRO with Auto & Taxi stand.
If now things are not done in detailed and funds r not allocated, K R Puram area will be mess like KR Market in future.
As such BMRC does not share any info with public how KR Puram station will be integrated with other modes of transport. GOK wake up and its tax payers money you are spending and be accountable.
no station at lowry memorial?
There was land acquisition issues at Lowry memorial and lots of families were affected at Narayanapura stn..so what does BMRCL do?
It quits both places and moves the station to somewhere near Whitefield Honda showroom now(I guess)..which is almost in the middle of no where..its not near at all to KR puram station nor is it catering to total residential areas!
Good, this is as per BMRCL track record!
here is the new station..

Long way to go for Ph-2 loan arrangment. I will be happy if BMRCL can arrange loan for the Ph-2 by next 5 years itself forget about the completion.
Cantonment station and Cantonment METRO station have no links
Once again how Govt agencies in Public services work in isolation : BMRCL is locating Cantonment station at distance from the existing Cantonment Railway station. Railways are in a hurry to lease out 2 Acers of Land for PPP without any expansion of Cantonment station and considering METRO interchange, if this Bannerghata - Nagawara to be extended to Airport. As usual BBMP is busy calling tenders for its Corporaters wishes to be filled. If this is way, Bangalore will never get good multi modal transport hubs
PH-2 METRO alignmnet as per BMRCL website
As per Railways Land 2 Acers leasing for PPP without any METRO considerations
BMRCL wants to extend the Bannergahatta - Nagawara line to Airport, no plans for integration at Cantonment station.
BMRCL 2013 Press release about linee extension still in drawing board
