We do have phone numbers to dial in case of emergency. But there are many problems with them. There are a bunch of numbers and not just one. 100, 101, 103, 8 digit numbers on national highways, a separate number on NICE Road, and even more. Next, numbers like 100 don't reliably work from cell phones.

But  reply from RITES says only as per the scope of work assigned to them for Cmmuter Rail.

Phase-2 - East not connected

The routes chosen under phase-2 for Namma Metro are pretty good, no doubt. However, the east (except for Whitefield) will remain largely unconnected. This will surely get corrected in future phase/s.

Vending zones soon in city

In future, the streets and pavements should be in order, with vendors taking places allotted to them. The Karnataka Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Bill, approved by the cabinet on Tuesday, aims to streamline hawking by having specified vending zones and ensure convenience to pedestrians and motorists.
