Vignan Nagar Roads - Miserable

Roads of Vignan Nagar were recently tarred for first time, which reduced mud and diseases to great extent. Shortly after this BBMP dug up all the roads for laying water pipes, leaving no way even to walk for weeks. After lying the pipes, deep holes were filled back with loose mud, leaving Vignan nagar once again in mud and pollution.

To day March 24, 2011 the Beautification programme of our Park at HAL III stage Bangalore 560075 was kick started by our MLA Mr. Raghu and Corporater Mr. Vijay Kumar.  The function started at 9:30AM and went on till 11:30 

Why the need for ration card to get a gas connection only in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu?

Any citizen of India is eligible for a subsidized gas connection for household use.I am not able to get even a single cylinder for household cooking since I do not have a ration card, nor can I transfer the cylinder I have on my name in Maharashtra to here.I have to pay more than a Rs.1000/- for a cylinder from a private vendor.

Out of sight, out of mind? Not many people think about what happens to the copious amounts of garbage generated daily. There doesn't seem to be much information on BBMP's website (surprise). Based on earlier articles in the media, it appears that there is still not a scientific landfill to handle Bengaluru's waste (let alone in other cities/towns in Karnataka).

The entire stretch of 11th Main and adjoining areas like 14th cross etc...is been dug up. The Maharani's college circle is been closed and all vehicles which wants to go to yeshwanthpur, rajajinagar, or the Tumkur road has to take these roads and making the life miserable.
