We want infrastructure but no taxes!

We the proud citizens of Namma Bengaluru, arguably having a higher Household Income on an average compared to the rest of India cry a lot for infrastructure.

Yet, we do not want to pay property taxes and to add insult to the injury want to pay abysmally low taxes. If we do not pay adequate property taxes, we cannot even have good infrastructure.

Another RTI response to share with. A Praja member had filed an RTI application with Ministry of Civil Aviation for obtaining a copy of the Capacity assessment of Bangalore's new International airport(BIAL). The capacity assessment was done by AAI from June 16-18, 2008.

Entropy example: Kilometer long jam for no real reason

Taking Rain Water Harvesting more seriously

It is good that the BWSSB has finally realised that only about 50% of it's current water supply is metered and billed for. It is equally good to note that it has come down heavily on IBC Knowledge Park (the building hosting Accenture et al) on Bannerghatta Road for water theft.

How to make citizens follow rules.

On Several threads i have been noticing each time there has been a reference of law enforcement or regulation some one or the other comes around and tells us stories about how regulation and laws are not going to work. (sigh!)
Look here, we are a part of the same system that you are complaining about.
