A US based company has come forward with a proposal to help government to set up 50 megawatt (MW) of solar power plant with assistance from American finance company. |

The State can be instantly South India’s biggest solar power generator, if the proposal by US based firm MAG one, a EPC Turnkey solution provider has offered to help the State generate renewable energy by ensuring 85 pc loan of the total cost from the financial institutes. Speaking to Deccan Herald, A Nandakishore, Regional Sales manager said the Government should just invest Rs 11 crore of the total Rs 750 crore project. “This is part of the President Barack Obama’s initiative to tap green energy. Since the global economic recession has failed the scheme in USA, the financials are extending it to India,” he said. The proposal was first made to Uttar Pradesh to set up 20 mw of solar power, but since there was no response in the power parched North Indian state, the company has moved South. Nandakishore said that the northern parts of the State are quite feasible for the project and the Government can mitigate most of power crisis. |
