Bangalore's hall of shame - 3rd class treatment for Bus commuters @ Marathahalli

Sometime ago, we discussed Bangalore hall of shame locations, and Marathahalli Outer Ring Road junction. After one round of work to 'improve' pavements where in they basically widened the roads connecting Outer Ring road and Varthur Road, and installed barricades to prevent pedestrian spill over, this junction has been left as it is.

This past Saturday (11th June) morning, my son left home on his mobike at around 4.45, and as he was turning into the Shinivagilu village road, past the Ganesha temple (S T Bed layout), a pack of stray dogs attacked him. He dodged them and rode along, even as a few kept chasing. One of them took a snipe at his foot, even biting through his shoe, drawing blood.

While the number of persons paying online may have doubled this year - from 32,000 to 71,000 - many more may have logged on, and then logged off in frustration. Property owners in several parts of the city were in for a shock, when the computer refused to accept their payment, saying they had not paid the previous year’s tax.

Sharadamma, 45, a first-time corporator and X standard pass, was chosen on Thursday as the city's mayor. The formal election will be held on Friday. This term has been reserved for woman from scheduled caste (SC).
Vignan Nagar Roads - Miserable

Roads of Vignan Nagar were recently tarred for first time, which reduced mud and diseases to great extent. Shortly after this BBMP dug up all the roads for laying water pipes, leaving no way even to walk for weeks. After lying the pipes, deep holes were filled back with loose mud, leaving Vignan nagar once again in mud and pollution.
BBMP now in tree nurturing mode

While doing up the footpaths/ roads, a few years back, the paving/ concreting was done almost choking the tree trunks/ roots, as seen in the pictures below:
