Prajagale,

Few weeks back, Praja members had worked with KSRTC to suggest the changes to its website. Praja team after a diligent review of the KSRTC site had submitted a detailed technical requirements along with Site layout and architecture. Based on that information, it seems KSRTC has changed its website design and has completely revamp the home page.

From past 1 month, I have been travelling in BMTC from BSK 3rd Stg to Doddenakundi. Although office has provided shuttle service, timings are inconvenient. On demand, our office is providing shuttle service every hour to Marathalli Bridge and Old Madras Road.

We had a nice meeting with Nathan and Kiran of Biome Environmental solutions where a lot of discussions took place about the concept note on Indiranagar Metro project in the context of forthcoming Mobil city Un-conference at IISc. The Metro passes through CMH and 100 ft roads in Indiranagar. We in Indiranagar are quite familiar with the Metro by now.

Benefits of metro rail

Every now and then i see one or the other organisation opposing the metro.  No doubt they entitled to their views, but do they ever see the benefits any metro brings to cities,(especillay the crowded ones like bangalore, mumbai etc)  Let me quote a few points from PIB regarding the delhi metro, i am sure such benefits will accrue to bangalore also once the metro is complete<

A total breakdown of urban planning - A microscopic look at the lowest level

When we look at Bangalore and see it's overburdened infrastructure falling apart (be it water, roads, power, footpath etc.) , one cannot help but think how we got to this point in the first place, since recognising the problem and it's causes is one of the first steps in effectively proposing and designing a solution to remedy the problem.
