To day while crossing the 100 feet road in Indiranagar I heard an elderly person advising an elderly couple to avoid walking on 100 ft road, referring to the recent accident at 100 ft road. The man remarked that they were well aware of the incident. He seemed not to appreciate the advice.

I just returned from a trip to Mumbai and was quite impressed by how much the city has improved in the last one year. While of course most of the city is still in really bad shape large parts have been improved in several ways

The garbage collection has stopped happening at my apartment a few weeks ago. The people who used to come to do it were demanding 50 Rs per house per month!

Seen this interesting article in DH on state of KLDA?

Summary: Budget allocation - Rs 3.15 Cr for 40,000 lakes in the state. Karnataka Lake Development Authority has 4 officers and 6 contract employees, 1 vehicle and 1 telephone for the whole state!.
