National Institute of Advanced Studies (Indian Institute of Science Campus), Bangalore invites you to a Public Lecture on SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT, URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND ITS IMPACT ON CLIMATE CHANGE by Prof. Holger Dalkmann, Director, WRI’s EMBARQ programme, Washington DC

Abstract: Holger Dalkmann will talk about his fifteen years of experience working in the field of transport, sustainability and climate change and his understanding of network development, as well as intellectual and technical inputs and then go on to illustrate how that experience informs his understanding of these complex problems in the current global scenario. In his work, Holger has established a strong network in the field of  transport, sustainable development and climate change multilateral development banks (World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Inter-American cooperating, working with key UN organisations like UNEP, UNESCAP, UNHABITAT, UNDESA and UNFCCC.

About the speaker: Holger Dalkmann is the Director of WRI’s EMBARQ programme, and is based in Washington DC. He provides strategic leadership and management for EMBARQ’s global staff and partners, as well as direction for its fundraising and communication activities. Holger has a strong background in business development, research, and policy in the transport and environment sectors.
