I had an opportunity of interacting with Dr.JP and his Lok Satta during Vote India Movement in association Ramesh Ramanathan's Janaagraha during LS 2004.

We, a few senior citizens of the then ward 15 and 18, had given a relatively simple plan to Janaagraha for improving the voters list and to eliminate the dubious distincion of 'mother of all frauds' - the electoral list, by going to the door steps of citizens and getting complete details. We did it and cause of action attracted the then Chief Election Commissioner of India Mr.Krishnamurthy.  He was invited to check the veracity of our effort; he came, went around Rajajinagara I Block for a random check and found that nearly 50 per cent of his checks resulted in residents firing a volley of questions - I have been living since 20+ years and I have voted but my name is not there this time... How?

Our Pilot study conducted with the help of the local MLA Mr.Narendra Babu, the then Rajajinagar constituency, was documented as a separate section in the eletoral list of ward 14, Nagapura in Rajajinagar Area.

It was then Dr.JP had interacted with us and Lok Satta helped in the operations along with Ramesh Ramanathan of Janaagraha.

His baritone voice and coherent arguments for creating a better India are worth listening.  I wish I could attend from Mysore.

- Some day India will be governed by warriors like Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan, Shashi Thuroor, Ramesh and the ilk and India will really shine and govern the people.
