It was in 2010, in a meeting for tendersure plan review at STUP office that a discussion on marenahalli road came up and the review board member said that STUP had proposed a elevated road and metro line resting on the same pillar was the best sollution on marenahalli road to handle traffic on the busy jayanagar/btm stretch including Jayadeva.

Bangalore To Mysore road - is gonna be a national high way..

Today was hearing on media that the Bangalore to Mysore road will be upgraded to 6 lanes with 3 toll plaza's..one at mysore, one at sri ranga patna and one some where near bidadi/ram nagar. the project cost is 3000 crores.

Beware of Change Snatchers. I had a bad experience today. Two people came in an auto while I was in bus stop and requested change for Rs.500. I said I do not have, but they insisted to check and they have struggled hard to get change. I again said I do not have, but they said 'nivu educated aagiddu obbarige help madalvenri'. I checked my wallet and I had change.

If BBMP (Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike) is to be believed, then  about 80 roads in the city will be free of digging for various purposes.  As a part of the process the civic agency has marked 18 roads in three packages under Specifications for Urban Road Execution (SURE) with investment of `200 crore.

Incremental Metro Extension in Phase 2

Metro Phase 2 works are going to start very soon. But how long it would take? Phase 1 which started in 2007, saw the light in 2011 partially. For complete Phase 1 to complete, it would be end of 2015 or even 2016. Almost close to 9 years. Phase 2 in the phase 1 pace might take another 9 years. If the work starts now in June / July, it might complete somwhere in 2023.

It was a few years ago around 2004..stuck on the BTM layout road btw the them Udupi Garden junction and SB..I missed many important client calls..I cursed everyone, everything..but never did I wish for a BETL flyover or more roads,..aparently after 10 years everything I did not wish for is happening!

Garbage daily or weekly?

Was watching SatyamevaJayate on TV the other day and as usual there was loads of emotions and the story was about garbage collectors or 'poura-karmikas' in BBMP terms..where they went around explaning their position and it was interesting indeed.

They on a everyday basis handle hazardous waste insluding diapers and other other harmful garbage.

Can the Metro depend on government-run BESCOM?
