Thanks Sir,
I am delighted to receive your response.
I do understand some of the concerns you have raised , these can be reduced/fixed using various options.
1.Some company like Infosys/ Satyam would like to maximum put up their hoardings in the stations which would anyways be the case even if we do not lease out the station to them.
But what i meant here was the station name on lease and not the actual station premises. They would not be given the option to recover their investment as this is not an investment , this would be a brand building exercise.

Dear Mr. Naveen,
Thank you for your mail and the suggestions made to mop up revenue. I would like to mention that at Metro we have a cell that is examining various revenue models. While your suggestion to lease out the stations to certain companies could be good revenue model, they too would like to recover their investment by advertising in all conceivable the open spaces within the station premises and thus cause visual pollution. All the same, I thank you for the interest shown by you.
Kind regards

Subject: Station Names
Namaskara,
I appreciate all the hard work going on to make Namma Metro Successful.
I had a small query. I would like to know if Namma Metro station names can be leased to companies?
This trend is seen in some countries, as we need more financing to infrastructure in India this would be one of the funding ideas. This model would bring a lot of revenue to Namma Metro. You can consult rta.ae of Dubai if you want details of such a model.
eg: Station near CMH road can be leased to nearby CMH Hospital for 10 years.
Station near Trinity Circle can be given to Yahoo or some banks nearby
Station near Manipal Centre can be owned by Manipal
Station near Kumble Circle can be owned by LIC and near Chinnaswamy stadium by the same.
