Will BIAL (New Blr Airport) return the UDF to us?

Except for sporadic reports on progress of some "reopen HAL airport" related appeals in the courts, BIAL is rarely in the news these days. After some allegations of misdeeds in the way land was acquired around, and perhaps even for the airport, dust has settled there as well.

Sankey Road Trees Chopped-off overnight after a secret auction

Sadly and expectedly BBMP has gone ahead and done what its best at. It has in a unilateral, self-serving, authoritarian manner chopped off 17 of the 19 beautiful trees on Sankey Road starting as early as 1:30 am on Friday morning before a stay could be obtained on the remaining 2 trees by 6pm.

Where is the city headed?

Nobody has clue how 2020 or 2030 Bangalore Transportation should be MADE to look. Remember this is different from how it will look if left to go on like now.

Nobody wants to take responsibility for traffic

The city's sanction process for malls and similar complexes is at the root of the rapidly worsening problem. Traffic management does not seem to be a concern in BBMP.

The residents of HAL iii stage witnessed yet another Bhumi pooja on Wednesday the 29 June 2011 at 4^th main road. Sri S Raghu MLA CV Raman Nagar Assembly constituency, Smt Sumitra Vijay Kumar Councilor BBMP Ward 58 and her husband Sri Vijay Kumar were present. The dignitaries were garlanded as usual as also several senior citizens.
