The City rulers , over the years , have proved grossly inefficient, by not taking steps to complete the Ring Road which would have absorbed the increase in traffic , especially of trucks and lorries. Let us not do another mistake by hurriedly deciding to cho off all trees. This has never solved problem any where so far.
We should get some of the best architects and renouned town planners to redesign the area and see whether the objective can be achieved without cutting any trees. Meanwhile somebody should wake up the Urban Development Ministry and MUDA and make them to work on the Ring Road. Lastly C.M., M.P.s past and present officials should concentrate on this job rather than spend their time visiting Swamiji and Mutts every week when they visit Mysore.
Completion of ORR or completion of Foot Hill Road
As per this map, it can be seen that Completion of ORR is the easiest solution for reducing the traffic on Lalithmahal Road.
Second option is to cleanup and improve the road at the foothill of the Chamundi Hill behind SDM College which joins at JSS College / Sacchidhananda Ashrama on the Nanjangud Road. This road has been underutilized and has been only used as dumpyard.
