The infrastructure at Jnanbharthi Station is extremely poor. There is no lighting and the station is lcoated on the Bangalore Mysore Highway, which itself is very poorly lit. 

Meanwhile, Phase 3 is also on the cards. “We have already started planning Phase 3 of the Metro. Unlike Phase 1 and 2 which go across the city, north to south, east to west, Phase 3 will be a circular route around the city,” he (MD, Mr Kharola) said.

Accidents in Bangalore and dents to cars is a quite common scenario. It is very difficult to get a dent less car in Bangalore. People claim insurance and get it corrected.

The bane of Capitalism is the power of business lobbies to affect governance in a way that it suits their vested interests, even if it is at colossal costs to public interest.

My essential takeaways from "ConnectKaro" (workshop co-hosted by Embarq India, and World Resource Institute's centre for sustainable transport in India, in collaboration with DULT, on the 10th & 11th March):

A gang of auto drivers gang up and loot unsuspecting customers who land at Kengeri Station. The station is very remotely located with no last mile connectivity to any of the areas nearby. BMTC hardly runs any services from Keneri Station. These kind of experiences actually deter people from using the local train services.
