Right from beginning, there have existed glaring lacunae in the state Acts pertaining to transfer of ownership of common areas and assets of multi-storied apartment complexes. And, the lackadaisical approach of the officialdom to the rectifications of these are putting the rapidly growing community of flat owners to various kinds of hardships.

Bangalore Road Standards [BRS] Preliminary Discussions with DULT - a report

To day I spent a few hours discussing with Shri Shailendra Singh, Special Officer, at Directorate of Urban Land transport, of Urban Development Department, [DULT] govt of Karnataka. Shailender Singh is a Jat from Haryana and not a Sikh Sardar. I found him to be a fine / capable / forthright officer.

CBD NMT DPR - For your comments

Below is the Final Draft Detailed Project Report for provisioning NMT facilities in the MG road area & surroundings.

This is not an official public consultation but I have taken permission from DULT to put up this DPR for review by Praja members. As a part of the Task force Praja has to provide comments by 28th July, (next Thursday).

 

Rain Water Harvesting on Namma Metro

Driving along the RV Road, I noticed that many of the Namma Metro Pillars now had largish drain pipes jutting out at the bottom, presumably to allow rain water from the tracks above and possibly the stations to join the city SWD system. Curious to know if anybody has evaluated the feasibility of rain water harvesting as a mandatory requirement for Namma Metro? It is still not too late.
