CRS / Local train for Bangalore Vs State Govt & SWR attitude

This with reference to our Shri K.H. Muniyappa ( Minister of State for Railways  )  blaming State Govt for not starting  Local Trains within Bangalore city.  How is it that he can not speak to CM of Karnataka when CM himself is pursuing so many projects for Rail on cost sharing basis. Our Shri K.H.

UID Challenge

The UIDAI contemplates certain challenging situations that it might face in the implementation of the project to the public. This is the first in that series. The UIDAI is going to face many challenging situations and we would like to invite solutions from the public for these challenges.

The present challenge is related to the "Introducer System" which has been detailed out in the Demographic Data Standards and verification procedure Committee report in the Committees tab of the website. The problem is stated below. Probable reactions/solutions are solicited from the public to webadminuidai@nic.in.

UID Introducer Problem

Unique ID Authority of India has been mandated to give Unique IDs to the residents of this country. The way a person gets his/her ID will broadly work as follows:

Gammon and the Metro - is there a safety concern?

 After the recent bridge collapse in Rajasthan on the E-W corridor involving Gammon, am beginning to wonder about who would conduct a proper audit of the company's practices?  Since Bangalore Metro has offloaded a portion of the work to Gammon, this is particularly worrying for us.  Is it so easy to dump harmful chemicals in our country especially in our city of Bangalore? About 40 Barrels of unknown chemical were dumped at vacant railway yard near the slums of Okalipuram supposedly on Monday night. We seem to be totally unaware and un prepared for such exigencies.
