Meet on activities on the first Cycle Day event (27/Oct)

Some news on activities planned on the first CycleDay event. Following is a quick summary from the meeting held on 1/Oct to discuss potential options:

1. Inauguration by the Mayor - via a ceremonial cycle ride.

2. A heritage cycle ride around Cubbon park area. Critical Mass happens on the same day. Work with them to explore combining the two somehow.

Tomorrow (Saturday, 21/Sept) few Praja members are riding bicycles to Tattekere. All are welcome to join. This is our second outside-the-city, and first relatively long distance ride. First was the one up the Nandi hill, some 25km up and down.

Reviving monthly Praja meet-ups. Every 2nd Sunday, 7:30am. Venue - Cubbon Park (east - next to UB City - entrance). 

Some of us will get there on our bicycles, and we encourage you, if possible, to take this oppurtunity to bike, walk or run to location.

Though it was a bit disappointing to see no-show / last minute drop-out from at least 5 guys, we enjoyed strolling around an almost empty city station on Sunday morning. Sanjeev (our resident Railways expert), Sathya, Srivatsava, Murali sir, dvsquare and myself walked end to end. Took some pics as well, here are some:
