This might be a bit alarmist but this is a report I read earlier today. It does not seem too surprising given that the BMRCL got around to finding digging specialists after starting to dig..

Roads over drains - The erstwhile "Club Pyramid" project

 

According to this report in DH, two elevated roads are being planned over SWDs :

1) Seshadripuram to Double Road; &

2) Rajajinagar to Mysore Road.

 

Service Life of Elevated Metro

 There have been numerous debates on wether we take metro underground or do we have it on elevated structures..these have been mostly related to the following:

Any info on ORR between mysore road and magadi road

Anyone knows here the recent updates of magadi-mysore road ring road. (http://bangalore.praja.in...). As per my understanding the ring road and its service roads are completed but flyovers at magadi road junction and mysore road junction are not yet completed. If anybody knows the status of these flyovers can mention here.

Could someone clarify if there is a flyover planned at the NGEF turnoff point on the OMRoad ? If yes, what stage is it at ? Planning; Proposal; Approved; Tendering etc ?

The 20km long Calcutta Metro Railway completes its 25 years next month, unwept, unhonoured and unsung. It has never had a derailment, no fatality or no structural collapses. It carries 4.2 lakh passengers a day that is three times of the Delhi Metro which is more than thrice as long. It is faster too.
