Karnataka High Court Judgement on Land Acquisition for PRR

It is quite unfortunate that the Honourable High Court of Karnataka had quashed the BDA recent preliminary Notification for acquisition of 372 acres of land in connection with the formation of Peripheral Ring Road to ease the vehicular traffic. BDA wanted this extent of land for approach roads and Toll Plazas. Further, they needed land for forming FLY OVERS.

Corruption - Real estate relationship - How to reduce this?

Real estate business do not go without corruption. Right from Khatha Extract to Registration to Plan Approval, every stage has corruption. Builders, Contractors, Real Estate Agents everyone is ready to shell out anything to acquire property either legally or illegaly. Enroachment of Government or Private Property is common and cannot be controlled due to corruption.

No recognition to gated enclaves

In response to a query under the Right to Information , the Bangalore Development Authority and the Bangalore Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (BMRDA) have said that their rules had no provision for a “gated community”. Further, it is also learnt that the local Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike also does not recognise the concept.
