Updates on the meeting with DRM
Would anyone of the attendees be kind enough to post what happenned during the meeting. I just saw the email.
Meeting with DRM went on
Meeting with DRM went on well. they all are waiting for the RITES report (it may come anytime) and Mrs,majula (DULT) has to call for a meeting with various stake holders and then goes to the decision makers.
Railways has given some suggestion on the mode of operation to RITES and they are yet to know whether its included or not?
ultimately, its boils down to GOK - for funding. if GOK pushes CRS will see the light of the day.
SWR swears by RITES report
The DRM mentioned that this RITES report is the best report on commuter rail for Bangalore in its history. It takes into account all concerns & impact to the railways. If GoK makes changes to the report then they will have to go back to reviewing those but as it stands now SWR stands by the report & its recommendations.
Thanks guys!
Sanjeev, Sathya, Kamalakar,
Thanks for making it to this meeting and providing an update.

Meeting with DRM was good and its now leadership to push for th
Five of us, Murali, Hemanth, Sathya, Kamalakar & myself attending meeting to get updation what all things RITES dicussed with SWR in the proposal.
DRM was happy that, this is first time feasibility report on Commuter Rail / Suburban Rail done after so many years and its right time to push this project for Bangalore / its suburbs. We dicussed on how this should move in approval process so that project is implimentation starts at the earliest.
After dicussion, its lack of Political leadership from GoK is hurting the Commuter Rail project and due to this, some officers in GoK are dictating which public Transport project should be pushed even though its hurting GoK by money and hurting Commuters by delay in implementing Commuter Rail project as suggested by RITES report.
We should Thank DRM for meeting and sharing his thoughts how Bangalore Commuter rail should move in implementation.
