My Voter ID pain at Madivala

I would like to explain my pain and vain in getting the voter ID, yesterday at Madiwala-VFC, its was the last date yesterday for the EPIC, almost 2000 people were waiting in the queue (it was a mad rush), I was one among them, waited for hours together( from 4 pm to 8 PM), I could not get the details from one counter and go to the next counter for the voter ID (clicking my photo), my long stand

"Big10/Volvo to office" day for Whitefield - come join!

It grew out of an idea from Pradip, a public transport enthusiast. He suggested that we stand at Kundalahalli junction one weekday morning and hand out roses and BMTC route maps to all the car commuters. The thought has grown into a  "Big10/Volvo to work day" for Whitefield.

Pedestrian Subway - Change In Design

In the recent past, many pedestrian underpasses have been built at various locations. However, the utility of these for pedestrian crossings has been minimal & one hardly finds pedestrians using them, unless forced to with barricades (eg. Pedestrian subway at City Railway Station, & at KBS).

Urban minimum wage as election promise?

Cities are not just about rich or middle classes. It is estimated that majority of residents (> 60%) in our cities belong in poor or lower middle income groups. I was wondering if Lok Sabha 2009 has seen any promises that would influence the votes of this sizeable group?
