Other infrastructural area reforms in Mysore

Now that the 'sensitive' JUSCO deal has been approved by PRAJAgalu , can we use the momentum built up to further the reforms in other key (but, perhaps less sensitive) infrastructural areas also, while the city enjoys the stewardship of a proactive district Commissioner like Mr Manivannan?

1) The S M Krishna government's public bus transport services reform allowed for operation of stage-carriage services by private players in cities other than Bangalore. Following this, the Bendre Nagare Saarige' came into being in Hubli-Dharwar. Why hasn't anything like that happened in Mysore? If Mysore wants to avoid METRO tearing through itself, this is perhaps the only way out.

2) Talks have recently come up about franchising out power supply in Bangalore - check       here      . Mangalore city has been toying with the idea of inviting NTPC, amongst others, to take over the power distribution from long. Is Mysore looking at anything like that, or is it happy with Chamundeswari ESCOM?
