I was looking at Singapore LTA website. Couldn't help dream of a similar authority for B'lore. To my surprise, google found BMLTA. Guys, there is a land transport authority in Bangalore, atleast on paper and GOK rolls!!.

Praja Q&A with Mr Brunner - postponed

BIAL had called in today to say that as part of their "100 days" campaign, they want to organize a Q&A session with Praja. We are looking at a 30-45 minute long 1-on-1 meeting with Mr Albert Brunner, the BIAL CEO. They will take 2 to 5 Praja.in members. The meeting should happen sometime in September (orig date was 30th Aug, now postponed). Interested?

How about consolidating those points and making them more presentable via picture posts? Here is my attempt with pictures over last two months. Look, we need to explain and understand one thing very clearly. Flyovers and road widening projects are like buying extra large clothes to deal with obesity. Some folks prefer exercises or medicines to shed some fat.

Landfill unit begins operation

After much protest from the public, landfill site for hazardous wastes developed by the State government in Dobbespet has started its operation. Hyderabad based Ramky Environmental Management Pvt Ltd, the service provider at the site, has been collecting hazardous waste from industries, since June 19, this year. So far the service provider has collected 1,800 tonnes of hazardous waste. The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board has entrusted the job of lifting the waste and dumping the same at the landfill unit in Dobbespet, to the service provider.
