The latest news of NE people leaving city is certainly a blot on reputation of Karnataka and Bengaluru City in particular. Political class and political atmosphere that was created after 2008 state elections certainly has not helped the cause. It seems the ruling party for whatever reasons have tried to overlook or deny the charge of abetting the lawlessness in the state and the cities.

With the traffic police looking at enforcement of Sec 49 of Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 (under Motor Vehicles Act, 1988), pertaining to 'defective number plates' (the biggest issue here of course pertaining to the Kannada number plates - very few people want to identify it as such, since it is supposed to be a 'sensitive'

GoK to implement report on land grabbing

The Jagadish Shettar government is considering a proposal to revive the AT Ramaswamy committee report on encroachment of government land in Bangalore. The committee had unearthed over 40,000 acres of land worth Rs 50,000 crore encroached in and around Bangalore.

ELCIA have been successful in getting improvements on Silk Board to E-city and beyond with elevated road and flyovers on ORR. Today the real bottle neck is BTM, silk board and Madiwala. This requires out of the box solution acceptable to all stake holders. They have requested associations of ORR, ITPL and WHEELS.,

It seems like there is no value for the BBMP Commissioner M K Shankaralinge Gowda’s orders. Eight of the 15 officials, who were transferred by him from the civic body’s Town Planning Department to other departments 10 days ago, are back in the same department using ‘political influence’.
