Everything else

Of late I keep constant updates of the infrastructure developments in bangalore through praja. However i noticed that there is a lot of activity about these developments on various fronts but the projects in north bangalore like the malleshwaram, cnr rao road the yeshwanthpur flyovers and the huge infrastructure project the 6-laning of bangalore-nelamangala highway hardly gets noticed. would be nice to know the reasons behind this disinterest on praja.in.

Nice to have you here and good to know about your interests..

As you understand Praja is a comunity with like minded folks..we are all spread across blr and we best can do report and work on initiatives around our places we visit/work/stay.

However we do discuss about all generic infra initiaties across Blr..we did discuss recently about Mysore Lamps land usage on praja few days ago which is about Bangalore North..

Its initiatives from folks like you who can make a difference..it doesnt take much..now with all of us armed with camera phones..all it takes is a few snaps of say the yeshantpur flyover and its usage after opening etc..or the elevated highway on NH4..and put it on Praja and open it for discussions..or even the delayed metro work!

Request to try posting somethings and we can sure take it further..

An elevated flyover is bein built from CMTI to hesarghatta. Almost all the piers save 2-3 are complete and the sections are being launched from hesarghatta side. The pace seems to be reasonable. It will be interesting to see how the Metro will pass thru here as there is limited space for elevated structures on this road now.

Out of the 119 piers, 112 have been completed. The work on spans has been completed between Kennametal and Shell petrol bunk. Though service roads have been almost completed, small stretches near Arasinakunte and Binnamangala have yet to be completed

More from the artcile Sri was referring to above

Swastik-Tumkur rd Metro - Status ?

Balajiolety,

Welcome & I guess you are right - there is poor representation from north bangalore on praja. I hope you will fill us in about progress from that part of town.

We see a lot of activity of course along reach-1 (Byappanahalli to MG rd), also works have commenced along reach-4 (KR rd - RV rd), but I am unfamiliar with the other reaches.

As per BMRC, road widening works on the entire reach-3 (ie. Swastik-Yeswantapur-Tumkur rd) is 90% completed (by Karnataka Land Army Corporation) & building demolitions are 95% complete. Piling works for via-duct for 5 kms is in progress, incldg station areas.

Could you confirm the status of metro works along reach-3 as can be seen visually ?
