IRR/Old Airport Rd intersection Pedestrian Issues

Naveen, SB & I decided at short notice to take a walk around the Domlur IRR/OAR (Old airport road) interchange to see the pedestrian issues in that area. I am attaching the route we too walking all around. Some points that showed up

1. Bus stop towards the city on OAR spills onto the ramp. Bus stop towards marathahalli blocks traffic entering OAR.

BMRDA - dead, defunct, or dormant?

No news is good news is how some say it. Hope it applies to BMRDA as well. Do a news search on BMRDA, you see nothing. The only thing new on their website recently is a list of "un-authorized approved" layouts. Wonder what that means, approved, but not authorized, hmm.

Money for BBMP from Cable/Fibre operators

On some forums etc, I am surprised to see people object to BBMP looking to charge Fibre/Cable operators for using trees, poles, sewrage lines, road side trenches etc. Why not? Leave the part about these guys (esp the cable operators) weaving an ugly tangled web around us (look up anywhere in the city, and you will see).

Can we propose to have ticket rates as 5,10,15,20,25 to avoid change problem and corruption ?

Like 5Rs for first 3 stage, then 10 for 4-8, 15 for 9-13, 20 for 14-18 and so on......

Delhi is Planning for Elevated BRTS.

For smaller cities (Tier II cities), CEPT is planning for 'Mini' BRTS using Mini buses since normal buses need more width.
