1. Problem 1, BBMP have built this many of the area, but they fail to monitor the purpose is served. eg, many of this opening are clogged with wastes/sand. hence is it is un operational.

Underpasses Everywhere!

The BBMP has decided to take up construction of 35 underpasses using pre-cast technology in the coming financial year.

The proposal for new underpasses is said to have been included in the Palike’s 2008-09 budget to be presented on Friday. The Palike plans to complete these underpasses in a year’s time.

A swiss challenge by a consortium of dilli-based IDEB Inc and Shanghai Urban Construction Group, proposes three elevated 2x2 corridors: misnk square to hebbal, kodihalli to kundlahalli gate and vellara jn to silkboard. This ofcourse, is pending government approval.

Marathahalli Bridge close to completion - finally

I still remember the sign board BDA had put up onsite when construction began on Marathahhali bridge (here). Start 30-4-2006, finish 30-7-2006. Were they kidding - 3 months, thats it? Anyway. dates moved, fast forward to January 2008, and the word going around is that we may get the full six lane bridge done in a few weeks.

Governor office was more on the lines of the presidents office..just involved with ceremonies and functions..though it changed with Dr. Abdul Kalam! Now we are having a similar situation in bangalore now..The resp. guv office is really gearing up and sending positive signs with many project initiatives..very intersting. Saw two interesting bits in papers about this project. About a week ago, newspapers carried a list of land properties along NH4/Tumkur road that could be acquired for the project. And today, one newspaper has an ad insert that says - "Navayuga Engineering Co. Ltd.

Bangalore Flyovers & Grade Separators

Gali Anjaneya Project Delayed

The flyover project near the Gali Anjaneyaswamy temple at Mysore road, which is aimed at decongesting traffic on the road and surroundings, will be completed only by June next year.

Construction for the project began in October 2006 with a 15-month deadline stipulated but the project is now way behind meeting it.
