Stake-less stake-holders

One significant drop out from the list of 'stake-holders', compared to the BATF days is Bangalore Telephones.

BESCOM's plans

Chitra V. Ramani of the Hindu reports: Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd. (BESCOM) will implement these projects over the next five years. With the implementation, it hopes to reduce interruption in power supply and improve efficiency. The four projects are:

KSRTC's AWATAR

Whenever I try to book a ticket on the KSRTC's website online, it always says 'Server Busy'. This was inagurated grandly by KSRTC to show that they are capable just like Indian Railways, but, their franchisees KSRTC Booking Counters were worried.  To make the booking only through Franchisees and have online booking for namesake, whenever  you login to KSRTC website with your login, you will get a server busy 'clean message'. This is not from the server, but from a  very good responsive page with delibrate message - Not any HTTP 500 or any other message.

How should the govt finance infrastructure building in Bangalore?

Airport City at BIAL

Just about a month since opening BIAL announces plans for an ‘Airport City’ within the premises of BIA.

Hard work at BIAL results in significant improvement

On Friday, 20-June-2008, I took a flight out of BIAL airport. As my pictorial essay shows, the hard work, by the stake holders at BIAL, is showing results, in the form of significant improvements.

Housing for the poor

the scheme of this new government for providing free housing to the poor / less fortunate is a welcome step.

however I have my suggestions / comments for the same

(1) the fact that India will be a developed country by 2015 / 2020 should be borne in mind when providing housing / facilities free of cost or otherwise to poor, downtrodden or any one.

Do we have the right Civic Attitude?

Its just lacking, isn't it?. Come on, lets not run away from the fact anymore. Spending a couple of crores on something big for the good of the city and the country is no big deal anymore. The biggest let downs are either, we just dont know how to use what is given to use or we just dont care and carry on with the "Great Indian Civic attitude" that we have. I know some thoughts might have already got triggerred for some of you that. who is this guy, making such a big statement. Let me not isolate myself from it, but we just do not carry the fundamental civic attitide with us.
