 The NMT task force setup under DULT met for its first meeting today. This task force was constituted vide government order DULT/117/ADM 2010-11. Praja was represented by Myself & Srinidhi. We presented the call to action report on CBD intermodal bicycle connectivityprepared with inputs collated via various blogs/discussions on Praja.in. We gave an overview of our proposal, It was decided by the task force chariman to take this forward with an on ground site visit on 12 March by the task force members

NMT Master Plan & Bicycle Infrastructure for Bengaluru

Apart from the CBD cycling pilot there was a presentation on bicycling tracks around the madiwala lake region connecting Bannerghatta & Housur road.

Good job on taking NMT proposals forward. Hopefully post March 12 on the spot survey, we can look forward to progress on Bike Sharing and related NMT experiments.

Bike stands at koshys - all the right vibes

 For those of you who've been pedalling the thought of cycling down to one of the city's legendary restaurants, here's some good news. Starting Sunday, you get to park your cycle right in front of Koshy's on St Mark's Road. 

GoCycle, a voluntary, non-profit movement is setting up Bangalore's first dedicated parking stand for cycles. To begin with, the space can accommodate about 10 cycles and will be scaled up depending on the response.
