this is a very very interesting topic. thanks for posting this. something happened and we got sucked into this 'plastering' culture. we even got into making designs and calligraphy in cement. but the sad part is all this going native is highly unaffordable for ordinary people. going native and simple in the cities is very very expensive. ironically mangalore's tile industry for example is in shambles.
