BCIC submits Commuter Rail proposal to Railway Minister/Board!

Namma Railu project team will like to thank BCIC for submitting Commuter Rail proposal to the railway ministry at a pre-budget interaction with the industry groups earlier this week. Please refer to the business standard report today (Nov 26): BCIC seeks clarity on PPP.

Planning to Meet with DRM / SWR & With Minister Ashok

I had met  DRM for 15 Minites at his office  last week on 12th Nov to get the update on the Commuter Rail.  He is very positive on the issue.

Commuter Rail meeting with Chief Secretary, GoK

Meeting was called today by Chief Secretary SV Ranganath on request from V Madhu, Principal Secretary to GoK, Infrastructure Development Department to move forward commuter rail for Bangalore.

Namma Railu - Terms of Reference

At the end of the meeting on Namma Railu at IISc on 30-Aug-2010, we had agreed to work on a Terms of Reference (TOR) for raising a demand for DPR (Detailed Project Report) for Namma Railu.

Monday, Aug 30, 2010: CiSTUP, IISc, and Praja.in organized a round table event, Namma Railu 2010 to discuss Commuter Rail System (CRS) as a mobility solution to enable growth of Bengaluru Metropolitan Region (BMR). The event was chaired by Dr A Ravindra, Advisor to the CM.
