[Announcement] Working Groups - our first one

Okay then. Time now to test ourselves, and the theory, that with a bigger pool (1000+ now) of members, we will have correspondingly bigger numbers for on-ground activities. Let us start our first "working group" (or WG) on Praja. Taking the window of opportunity offered by Mr Tripathy, and well aware that the subject is most popular thus far, the first WG will be on Public Transport. Before forming this group, let us figure out this generic concept of WG:

Expectations from the new govt.

BJP is set to form the govt. But still, there are doubts about the sustainability of its govt., because of the million and one things that can go wrong. Those calculations are beyond my depth. But hoping that this govt. will last a considerable period of time, what are your expectations from the government, irrespective of whether you voted for it nor not? What would you like the govt. to do for bangalore? I will start with my top two wishes.

Hi friends,

Elevated Highway - Silk Board to E-City

Dear Prajegaley,

Pls lets all start tracking this part of B'lore's Infrastructure too. This was supposed to have been thrown open in the month of June 2008. Now, recently when I was on this stretch, there is a LOT of work still pending [at some points, there are no Columns erected yet !].

BIAL - what's working and What's NOT

Guys,

Take the liberty of discussing what is working at BIAL and what is not working. Pls do discuss and respond to others but be mindful of others and pls maintain respect for others. Issue based and focus on issues. No attack on personalities.

Let's agree to disagree.

Thanks,

Vivek Kulkarni and MRTP

[{Admin} - Most of us feel that this is the way, take each contentious issue in BIAL saga separately. Don't mix them all up like TOI/CityConnect's HAL campaign did. Let us watch Mr Kulkarni's challenge to BIAL Concession agreement]

Lalu Wants Monorail for Patna !

Kuala Lumpur: A trip in the monorail and zipping over the crowded streets here on elevated tracks has convinced visiting Railway Minister Lalu Prasad that India, especially, the capital of his home state Bihar, needs such an advanced transportation facility.

BIAL Cargo Blues or +s

I am starting a new thread exclusively meant for discussing issues related to Cargo infrastructure at BIAL. Please restrict your views and discussion to BIAL CARGO only.

Thanks,

Syed
