There is more to a street than movement of vehicles. It also needs to be safe, usable and appealing for pedestrians, bicyclists and handicapped. It is also used for parking, turns, used by hawkers, etc. For better understanding we will classify and list these down.

In this close to a month old BBMP tender, find mention of RCC precast technology. Yes, thats our magic boxes. 6 of these are mentioned, one each for Ward #s 58, 61,62,63,64 and 65!. 65 lakhs each. Description: "Construction of Underpass / Pedestran Convenience Using RCC precast Technology in".

Ped subway fever in Mysore

Old pedestrian subways neglected by BBMP?

With the coming up of new subways in Bangalore city ,the maintance on old subways are not been neglected? Who will look at the condition of the present subways like the ones at KR Market and Majestic? Does BBMP doing sufficient work for the maintenance of the subways present at the KR Market and Majestic? So don't you feel that the authority is lacking its duty?
