Recently, I saw some job ads from this much ignored body called Municipal Reforms Cell (MRC in short). MRC was created back in 2005 to drive e-governance related reforms in Urban Local Bodies

Reporting BMTC ticket corruption

Further from those posts on ticket-less corruption in BMTC, we now have a way of reporting these incidents. Yes, it is an Internet based system, so the complaints about this not being available to majority of BMTC commuters etc etc apply. Still, something is better than nothing.

Race Course - argument for tall building and density

I have been looking for some data points to support what very few have said about the Race Course debate. The argument goes like this - a tall building is a better option than doing a green open park. IDS said this, and some opposed, without real data points or arguments for backing.

For all the good work that traffic police is driving in the city via BTRAC, I do think that the "no parking" boards (few thousands of them that have come up) are not the best use of money. Here are my issues with them:
