Sir,

Before giving a alternative flow for perusal, I would like to bring to your attention a few basic and logical points.

1.0             The Construction methodology will have to be reviewed as  a whole stretch of Road of two kilometers is shut down for a construction area of 6.0 mts in the median where the total width of the road is from four to six lane. This is simply not best practices of Construction Management.

2.0             The PRIMARY reason for this action by the JDA may be is that Jaipur Development Authority did not envisage the priority of constructing the ZONE B2 which connects Entertainment Paradise Road to Mansoravar.

3.0             Is the Contractor planning to have his casting yard for concrete piers and girders on the Main Carriageway? I remember when the Gopalpura flyover was built the casting yard was at Durgapura and the precasted Girders were brought to site when required.

POSIIBLE SOLUTION :

1.0             The Intersection of Durgapura ROB and Mansoravar will have to be kept open.

2.0             The Median opening will have to be provided at Income tax colony road form Tonk road which is a existing six to eight lane road. This road opens in between World Trade Park and Escort Hospital on JLN Marg.

PROPOSED TRAFFIC FLOW FOR PERUSAL for legs which will have Commercial (Heavy) vehicles.

1.0             Traffic Coming from on Gopalpura Bypass towards Tonk Road.

1.1             Traffic to be diverted on the road parallel to the railway and than onto the Durgapura ROB.
1.2             After that it goes on Tonk Road for about 300 mts towards Ajmeri Gate and than takes a Right Turn on the above identified Income Tax Colony Road to come out on JLN Marg.
1.3             From JLN Marg the traffic can go to Tonk Road again via Jawahar circle and Ashram Road.
1.4             From JLN Marg the traffic can go towards Birla Mandir or turn right at MNIT and OTS Intersection.

2.0             Traffic coming from Sanganer and to go to Mansoravar.

2.1             It can be diverted from Sanganer/Airport Intersection to turn left.

2.2             Commercial Vehicles( In terms of Indian Roads Congress) or Heavy and Muitaxles can take the Durgapura ROB to go to Mansoravar or Goplapura Bypass.

2.2.1      Alternatively the commercial vehicles should be totally disallowed on Gopalpura Bypass and can be diverted near Chokhi Dhani to go to Ajmer Road (On a MDR or State Highway for Phaghi and Malpura) and take the Jawahar Nagar Bypass to go to Agra and Delhi Road

SOME URGENT REMEDIAL MEASURES

  • The leg turning towards Himmat Nagar of The ROB area of Dainik Bhaskar (On the side of Tonk Road) is encroached upon. This slip lane is constructed but not utilized and not visible either because of the encroachment.

  • Traffic enforcement at this place and at Vidhya Asharm School will have to there in the form Traffic Constables for regulating the traffic during peak and school timings.

  • The Speed will have to be strictly restricted especially from Gopalpura Flyover to OTS Intersection due to inadequately designed conflict points. (The above Intersection of Himmat Nagar and ROB, inadequate gradient of the ROB and no slip lanes on the intersection of Gopalpura Flyover, the median openings before Vidhya Ashram School on the OTS side of the ROB are some examples)

I hope these suggestions will be taken in positive view point.
