Railway Budget Expectations from Bangalore and Karnataka
The city is also hoping for a swift announcement on the issue of commuter rail since the state government has given it's nod to the project. "A MoU must be signed within a month as all parties are in agreement," he said. PRAJA-RAAG, another group in the city working towards implementation of the Commuter rail system has also asked for approval for the State Government's proposal to implement the Namma Railu project as well as an immediate start to works identified in Phase 1A as per the Detailed Project Report which is almost complete.

What's in for B'lore and Karnataka in Railway Budget?
The 2015-16 Railway Budget is out and Jury is still out there. The biggest disappointment was, there is no mention of Namma Railu in the budget. Nothing to be surprised. If 2 ministers from the state can't do justice for this important project, can't hope for miracles from a minister hailing from other state.
But there are few announcements that Praja had listed in its wish list. This is what B'lore and Karnataka got in this budget.
