A BID is a time-limited, flexible funding mechanism to improve and manage a clearly defined commercial area. As a governance mechanism, BIDs are contractual partnerships for urban realm management through which some rights over the management of a locality are transferred from to the local government to ratepayers.

Minibus that BMTC needs for local shuttles?

Some of us think that operating local shuttles as the last mile / local connect option will help bring more people from deeper areas to the trunk routes, and thus make public transport better. However, BMTC folks don't find local shuttles to be viable. One reason given for un-viability is minibus design.
