Housing for the poor

the scheme of this new government for providing free housing to the poor / less fortunate is a welcome step.

however I have my suggestions / comments for the same

(1) the fact that India will be a developed country by 2015 / 2020 should be borne in mind when providing housing / facilities free of cost or otherwise to poor, downtrodden or any one.

Fast rail track MG Road to BIAL - confused

I am honestly a little confused on this infrastructure project that has been "reannaounced" by the government.

From what I have read on this( news releases), what I gather is that:

There is a dedicated fast track railway being proposed from MG road to BIAL exclucively servcing airport needs .
That this project, PPP or not, is to the tune of 3000crores
That the ticket will be in the region of Rs200 per pop.

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that Shri Suresh Kumar, Rajajinagar MLA has become the Minister for Urban Development (MuDA). MuDA is a key post which controls BDA, BMRDA, BIAPPA and nearly all TMCs, CMCs and hence holds the key "real estate" post.

I'm sorry but Mr Murali's post on Autos seems to have diverted way beyond scope. Hence we now have two parallel topics running in the same post. Let us bring one here.

How important is to have Multi lingual Bus Boards? Can we do with just addressing the needs of the "local" population? How do we create a universal transport system.

Victoria road ready

Vicotria road which was under the works since the last few months is ready since the start of this week..This road connects the HAL apt road to richmond road and this has among other establishments, ravindu toyota and army school.

One thing after airport was shifted is that the richmond road near shoolay/vellara jn is pretty less crowded..but bus traffic trying to sqeeze thru the narrow passage to reach richmond circle clogs the other end of the road!
