Public Transport

I regularly commute between Mysore and Bangalore both by Road and Rail. While it takes roughly between 3 to 4 hours by road depending upon the time and traffic, train takes between 2 to 3 hours even with the tracks being only partially doubled. So the need of the hour is to fast track the doubling and electrification of this section to bring down the travel time between 1&1/2 to 2 hours. Thus Bangalore and Mysore will become like twin cities sharing both labour and infrastructure. The completion of Nice Corridor in the future will further complement the Railway bringing both cities still closer. This will help in decongesting Bangalore and also help Mysore in rapid industrialisation. The views of the readers are welcome regarding this topic.
