Hi All,

Amid all the thought sharing process about the pro & cons of TDR. I would like to ask one question "How to apply for TDR".

I am a non resident to Bangalore & own the property (vaccant land) in Bangalore. Part of it 350 sq.ft. approx. is already taken up by govt. for road widening. Now since I dont visit Bangalore very frequently It will be helpful if someone can metioned the detailed procedure about applying & getting the TDR. Which dept to approach. What all documents are required other than the land ownership documents.

Regards,

Manu

TDR & THE BDA COMMISSIONER

Dear Prajayists,

In a NEWS Item in The Hindu dated 14th May 2011 the  BDA Commissioner Shri Bharath Lal Meena said that the farmers whose pieces of land were acquired would be offered TDR. He went on to add that those whom the BDA contacted had reacted positively. On 25th June 2011 I met the Deputy Commissioner Sri. Gowri Shankar and enquired about the TDR, for which I applied in the year 2007 since 21 Guntas of our land was acquired by the BDA for forming Peripheral Ring Road Phase-1. He said that he did not know anything about the issue of TDR and I should contact the Town Planning Dept. in the BDA Office. I met an official there and he said that there is no provision for issuing TDR in the BDA Act and added that they had written to the Government in this regard. Incidentally the MASTER PLAN 2015 issued by the BDA has mentioned the TDR Provision in Chapter 6.

I fail to understand why a prestigious Govt. Agency like BDA should speak in different voices.

In the above News Item the BDA Commissioner said that the issue of compensation for the farmers who have lost their land for the formation of PRR Phase-1 would be solved within a week's time and the Project would be completed by this year end. It is quite unfortunate that even after the passage of more than 40 days since the date of the News Item nothing has taken place. It is to be remembered that the Land Acquisiton Notifications for PRR were issued in the year 2005 and 2006.

Let BDA move fast in the formation of PRR, at least Phase-1

Yours truly,

Dr. K.Kizar Mohamed

BDA WEB SITE & TDR

Dear Prajayists,

It is quite unfortunate that the BDA Web Site does not display any useful information nowadays. It was good in the past but after revamping the Site the BDA has forgotten to maintain standards. It displays mostly blank pages.  I browsed BDA Site for information about TRANSFERABLE DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS Certificate as the Govt. of Karanataka had entrusted the duty of issuing TDR to BDA. To my dismay no information was found in the Web Site. When there is all round improvements in all the fields the BDA has deteriorated. Will the Authorities at the BDA do some thing to post at least some information on the PRR & TDR in their Site?.
