Dear Prajayists, I wonder what happened to the Peripheral Ring Road Phase-1 in Bangalore connecting Hosur Road-Old Madras Road-Bellary Road-Tumkur Road. In the month of June 2008 the Govt had sanctioned an amount of Rs. 3000 crores for laying of this road by BDA. Land Acquisition process is over and objections were minimal thanks to the TDR facility offered by the BDA in the Master Plan 2015. Global Tenders were expected to be invited in the month of October 2008 but so far nothing is heard about this proposal. Can any one say anything about this?. Incidentally this road was to cost only around 800 crores now it has reached Rs. 3000 crores. If it is further delayed then there will be further escalation in the cost of laying this road. Will the Government take action to start the formation of the road? Yours, K.Kizar Mohamed kizarmd786@yahoo.com
