At the meeting of the Bangalore Chamber Infrastructure Committee, we had the presence of Dr. Ashwin Mahesh and Mr. R.K. Misra of ABIDe. The Ho-Ho shuttle bus was discussed and also the Big10 services. I will request Pranav to add more to the contents of the meeting.
The presentation made by him on road improvements was well received, and there are plans to have a BCIC-Praja open house with Government officials sometime in the April - May time frame.
ABIDe is keen to get more publicity and usage of the Ho-Ho service. As a start, I have prepared a map which is enclosed below in picture format. Hopefully this can be used to send to friends.
I have also created a map in Google maps which has details of the bus stops etc. http://tinyurl.com/cgjn24
The infrastructure committee has proposed a similar Ho-Ho service for industrial areas, and we hope to have a trial service commenced in three areas. Whitefield / ITPL, Electronics City / Bommasandra / Jigani and Peenya Industrial Area.
We have also suggested a mini-Ho-Ho that runs the length of MG Road.
Comments are welcome, but I request that we do not turn this thread in to a discussion of Ho-Ho, but rather make this a call to action, and what steps each of us are doing to promote Ho-Ho.
TIA

Email forwards? Also, small glitch in the google maps link
Not a good idea
But for regions like Whitefield or Electronic City (which are predominantly populated by IT offices) this might not work. There will be hardly any person who want to move around within Whitefield or Electronic City (Penya might be an exception though). Instead a better option would be something like the Big10 to connect these hubs to Megestic/Shivaginagar apart from CBD (Whitefield is aleady connected to CBD by Big10 i suppose).
Devesh will it be possible to get any data on the usage of BIG10 route connecting Whitefiled and CBD (I also hope some one at Abide/BMTC is documenting such data - are they?).
ITPL has a private shuttle service between ITPL and Trinity circle every half an hour - which is very well utilized (except during afternoons).
